On April 20, 2025, Mr. Zohidi Nizamiddin Shamsiddinzoda, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in Tehran, met and held discussions with Saeed Khatibzadeh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS).

During this meeting, Khatibzadeh, while referring to the deep cultural ties and the connective role of the Persian language between Iran and Tajikistan, emphasized the need to further strengthen and develop bilateral educational and research relations. He specifically called for increased exchange of study groups between the Institute for Political and International Studies and Tajik institutions and think tanks.
