A delegation from the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Center for Analysis and Information Processing), headed by Nikolai Platennikov, met with Mr. Eghbali Zarch, Head, and members of the Eurasia Studies Group at the Center for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 17, 2025, for discussions.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments in the political, security, and economic spheres. Highlighting the long-standing, dynamic, and continuous relationship between IPIS and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, they emphasized the significant role of scientific, research, and analytical cooperation in strengthening bilateral relations.

During the visit, the signing of the strategic agreement between Iran and Russia was highlighted as a key catalyst for the development of bilateral cooperation. They also explored new avenues for scientific and strategic interactions between the two nations.
