The 6th Iran-Russia think tank meeting was held in Moscow on Monday, June 3, 2024, with the participation of the Institute for Political and International Studies and the Valdai Discussion Club. In this one-day meeting, the participants, while honoring the memory of martyrs of service, especially the respected President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, examined and exchanged opinions on various dimensions of bilateral cooperation in various economic, transit, political, and cultural fields.

In this meeting, the Iranian delegation, headed by Dr. Mohammad Taqi Hosseini, educational vice president of the Institute for Political and International Studies, Eqbalizarch, head of the Eurasian Studies Department, Kharrazi and Sanboli, senior experts of the Institute, presented their expert views. Also, the president and senior experts of the Valdai Discussion Club, university professors, and Russian researchers explained their views on bilateral, regional, and international relations.

In this meeting, both sides considered the role of the will and decisions of the two countries' leaders to be important in the development of relations. They described the necessity of providing the conditions and facilities of the two countries to take advantage of the capacities of expanding interactions between Tehran and Moscow as very important.

Also, the importance of the strategic cooperation agreement between the two countries, which is going through the stages of finalization and signing, was emphasized.
