Mr. Dr. Joseph Kraus, professor of political science and international relations at Masaryk University, Czech Republic, gave a speech in a meeting titled: war in Ukraine: The Perspective of East-Central European Countries in the Group of senior experts and Researchers of the Institute for Political and International Studies on Saturday, May 14, 2024. In this meeting, Mr. Kraus pointed out the history of Eastern and Central Europe's relations with the Soviet Union after World War II and the Cold War era and the position of this sub-region in international politics. He emphasized: The Ukraine crisis as a turning point has further divided the approach of the four Eastern-Central European countries regarding international politics. In response to some questions, Mr. Kraus reviewed various scenarios regarding the Ukraine crisis.
