A joint meeting of the President of the IPIS with Portuguese and Saudi Ambassadors

Portuguese ambassador Carlos Costa Neves met with Mohammad Hassan Sheikholeslami, President of the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on October 31, 2023.

During the meeting, bilateral cooperation between Iran and Portugal was discussed in the fields of study, thought, and expansion of cooperation in documents related to the history of relations between the two countries.

The President of the Institute for Political and International Studies at the meeting assessed the cooperation of the two countries in the fields of thought, educational and scientific, and emphasized the readiness of the Institute to examine ways to promote cooperation. The Portuguese ambassador also referred to the good relations between the two countries over the last few centuries, calling for further cooperation with the documentary department of the Institute for Political and International Studies to hold an exhibition of documents two countries. In this context, the two parties agreed that scientific, thought, and documentary cooperation agreements have reached the final stage and will be implemented.

Saudi Ambassador Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anazi also met with the Institute for Political and International Studies President in a separate meeting. During the meeting, the two sides expressed their satisfaction with resuming relationships based on common interests, mutual respect, and good proximity to strengthen cooperation in the fields of study and thought.
