Visit of the Head of the Center for Political and International Studies to Havana
During the period of March 28 2025 to April 3 2025 Dr. Saeed Khatibzadeh Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Center for Political and International Studies met with Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba during a visit to Havana. In this meeting the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest to Iran and Cuba.
During the period of March 28, 2025, to April 3, 2025, Dr. Saeed Khatibzadeh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Center for Political and International Studies, met with Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, during a visit to Havana. In this meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest to Iran and Cuba.
In the meeting, Mr. Khatibzadeh, while expressing gratitude for the tweet of the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the Iranian delegation's arrival in Havana – in which solidarity with Iran against Trump's insolent threats was declared – conveyed the warm greetings of the Iranian nation and government to the Cuban nation and government. He also emphasized the unwavering support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Republic of Cuba in the face of the American economic war. Subsequently, the invitation of the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs to participate in the Tehran Dialogue Forum was delivered to the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During this meeting, both sides emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields, particularly the development of relations and communication between think tanks.
Furthermore, during the visit of the delegation from the Center for Political and International Studies to Cuba, two Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) on cooperation were signed between the Center for Political and International Studies and the two Cuban institutions, ISRI and CIPI. The MOUs were signed by Dr. Khatibzadeh, Head of the Center and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, and the relevant authorities from the Cuban side.
