The fourth specialized meeting of the African Studies Group was held on 20 September 2023 at the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This meeting was held in the presence of Mr. Sheikholeslami, the head of the Institute for Political and International Studies, a group of university professors, former ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran to African countries, the director general of resistance economy, the head of the African Institutions Department, and a group of senior experts and experts in the African field of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Arabic and African Director General of Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication and President of the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Africa.

In this meeting, the latest trends and events of the African continent and relations with the countries and institutions of this continent, including the effect of Iran-Africa relations on the success of Iran joining BRICS, the causes and consequences of the recent chain coups in West Africa, the membership of the African Union in the G20 group and its effect on the world order and economy and the overlap of the relative advantages of Iran and Africa in the world markets were discussed.

In this meeting, the research project of the dynamic atlas of Africa, which aims to quickly obtain the latest data of the African area and analyze it based on the needs of the foreign policy apparatus with the cooperation of man and machine and with the help of artificial intelligence, was proposed by Dr. Ghaderi, the representative of the Iranian Geographical Association was unveiled.
