Consequences of Formation of a New Bloc in the Horn of Africa
Following the historic trip of Abiy Ahmed to Eritrea and the dynamic created in the wake for peace in the horn of Africa, the leaders of Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia, at their third joint session in January of the current year, proposed that the three countries, in cooperation with each other form a new regional cooperation bloc, which later got the name of the Horn of Africa cooperation Bloc. Formation of this cooperation bloc has so far posed contradictory opportunities and threats in the regional cooperation in the horn of Africa and neighboring countries in the red sea and east Africa.

Traps lying Ahead of Democracy in Africa
The second wave of popular uprisings in the Arab countries has emerged in Algeria, Sudan, and Tunisia in 2019 in the form of continuous peaceful protests. The Arab protesters , learning from the bitter experiences of the first wave of the uprisings , dubbed by the westerners as the Arab spring, in addition to efforts to topple the despotic rulers, are pursuing to change the authoritarian regimes and reform the defective structures governing their countries. The peaceful but protesting behavioral change of the people in these three countries suggests that these headless movements are not necessarily witless and despite all domestic and external traps that lie in the tumultuous way of democracy in the north of Africa, a common sense learned from the rich religious, cultural and historic teachings, guides their overall behavior in a less faulty way compared to the first wave.

Government's challenges in Algeria and Tunisia
After holding two challenging presidential elections, the governments of Algeria and Tunisia are still facing internal political struggles, so that they may not be able to pay to their domestic economic and political crises and reactivate their foreign policy. These crises are in the context of their economies being severely impacted by the negative internal and external consequences arising from the first and second waves of the Arab spring as well as the problems arising from the Covid 19 pandemic.
