The participation of the IPIS in the international conference on Arabic oral history concept and experience in Oman
The international conference on Arabic oral history concept and experience was held for three days from Monday to Wednesday October 23 to 25 2024 in the Crystal Hall of the Grand Millennium Hotel in Muscat hosted by the National Archives Records Authority of the Sultanate of Oman and the support and assistance of the Syrian National Document Organization and with the participation of ten countries (Iran Syria Egypt Tunisia Iraq Libya Palestine Russia China).
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">The international conference on Arabic oral history, concept, and experience was held for three days from Monday to Wednesday, October 23 to 25, 2024, in the Crystal Hall of the Grand Millennium Hotel in Muscat, hosted by the National Archives & Records Authority of the Sultanate of Oman and the support and assistance of the Syrian National Document Organization and with the participation of ten countries (Iran, Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, Libya, Palestine, Russia, China).</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">The aforementioned meeting started on the morning of Monday, October 23, with the title of the perspective of oral history in the Arab World, with the speeches of Mr. Dr. Hamad bin Mohammad al-Dhawyani, the Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority of Oman, as well as Ms. Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban, the special adviser to the Syrian president and the founder and president of the Board of Trustees of the Syrian National Document Organization and ended in the afternoon on Wednesday, October 25, with the speeches of the aforementioned, as well as the speeches of Professor Mamoun Wajih from Fayoum University in Egypt and Professor Sami Moubayed, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Damascus Institute of History, after three days of discussion and the conversation.</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">Mr. Hamidreza Badaghi, Head of the Oral History Department, and Gholam Ali Rajabi Yazdi, Senior Expert of the Institute for Political and International Studies, participated in this conference as representatives of the Institute for Political and International Studies, and on the second day of this conference, Mr. Badaghi presented his speech as the experience of oral history in Iran and the activities of the Department of Oral History of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.</p>
