Pre-meeting of the conference "The Neighborhood and Asian Policy of Islamic Republic of Iran."

Pre-meeting of the international conference "Regional Studies: Asian and the Neighborhood Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran" titled "Foreign Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the View of its Neighbors and Asia" was held with the presence of Dr. Shaykh al-Islami, the President of the Institute, Dr. Majidi, secretary of the conference and head of the Center of Strategic Research of the Expediency Discernment Council and a group of managers, senior experts and researchers of the country's think tanks at the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

In this pre-meeting, the main topics of foreign policy in the framework of neighborhood policy, including the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, the role of Asia in the geometry of the new international order, interaction with Afghanistan during the Taliban era, the role of cooperation between Iran, Russia, and China in the stability and security of Eurasia and various dimensions of Iran's economic, political-security and cultural cooperation with the countries of Central Asia and Caucasus were discussed.

The fourth national conference and the third international regional studies conference titled "Asian and the Neighborhood Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran" will be held in cooperation with the Department of Regional Studies of the University of Tehran and the Center of Strategic Research of the Expediency Discernment Council on December 19 and 20 of this year. This conference is held with the support of scientific and research centers such as the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Center of Strategic Research, the Supreme National Defense University, the Iran Trade Promotion Organization, the Institute for Islamic World Futures Studies (IIWFS), the Asian Diplomacy Think Tank, the Regional Studies Association and other prestigious scientific centers.
