BOOK REVIEWS

About Authors: John J. Mearsheimer is Professor of political science at
the University of Chicago. He has written several books and articles
on international relations. Among them, "The tragedy of Great Power
Politics" is a good example of a critique on optimistic views of
geopolitics that grew up after the end of cold war in 1989.
Stephen M. Walt is professor of international affairs at the
Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He was the
Dean of School during the time of writing the book. Among his
numerous written works, "Taming American Power: The Global
Response to US Primacy", is specially worth of mentioning. In that
book, instead of celebrating America's power in the world, he raised
the important question of: "How are other nations responding to the
challenge of American Primacy?”
Their Present work on American-Israel Public Affairs
Committee (AIPAC), as the main Israel lobby in the United States is a
path-breaking book. It is required reading for both the informed
public and policy makers engaged in foreign policy processes,
particularly in the Middle East.
