| Joint Seminar of IPIS and ASAM of Turkey |

The joint seminar of Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) and the Eurasian Strategic Research Center (ASAM) entitled "The Developments in the Middle East and North Africa: the Role of Iran and Turkey" was held on June 20, 2011 in Tehran.
Dr. Mehmet S. Erol and Dr. Mostafa Dolatyar headed the ASAM and IPIS delegations.
During the course of the Seminar the members of the two delegations, mainly from the Iran and Turkey universities, exchanged views on the current developments in the Middle East and North Africa, the Arab Spring, the foreign policy of some regional and overseas countries toward it and the potentials for a regional mechanism to secure a way out from the ongoing hardships of the people in Middle East and the North Africa.
Dr. Sabri Orman, Dr. Tayyar Ari, Dr. Haydar Çakmak from Turkey and Dr. K. Barzegar, Dr. H. Khani, Dr. A. Sadeghi and Amb. Farazmand from Iran delivered their lectures in the Seminar.
