The second Roundtable of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) and the Institute for Security and Development Studies of Sweden (ISDP) was held on 10 November 2009 at IPIS in Tehran.
The head of the Swedish delegation in this Roundtable war Dr. Swanstrom Director of the ISDP. Mr. Cornel and Mr. Harbo from the Institute and also ambassador of Sweden in Iran participated in the Roundtable.
From the Iranian part Dr. Mousavi Director General of IPIS, Kajouyan Director for Euro - America Studies, Biniyaz Director for Energy and Economic Studies, Kalantari Director for Asia and pacific Studies and a number of experts and Researches participated in the meeting.
Subjects of discussion were importance of dialoge between Iran and EU, Relations of Iran and US, Nuclear issues, Challenges and opportunity in Iran - EU relations, the role of Energy in Iran - EU relations, situation in Afghanistan and possibilities of cooperation between Iran and EU in that country, Bilateral relations of Iran and Sweden.
The Swedish delegation also met Dr. Ahani Deputy Minister for European Affairs of MFA and Dr. Khoramshad Deputy Ministry for Education and Research of MFA, during stay in Iran.
